Dr. Anju Sunny has received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut and M.Tech in Chemical Process Control from Government Engineering College, Thrissur. She has completed her B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam.
Dr. Anju has 4 years of teaching experience from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and 5 years of research experience from National Institute of Technology, Calicut. Her teaching and research interest include Process Instrumentation, Process Simulation and Process Control.
Dr. Anju has granted Innovation Patent from Australian Government with Patent Number: 2021104764, and the title of invention is ‘A method for Lignin extraction for bioenergy applications’. She has presented papers in various national and international conferences, and published several papers in SCI indexed, peer-reviewed journals.
She has received International Travel Support (ITS) for participating in the International Conference on Gas, Oil and Petroleum Engineering (GOPE 2016) organized by United Scientific Group, Las Vegas, USA on November 2016 from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
Dr. Anju has secured 1st prize in the Nation-wide quiz competition on Laws related to women, held on 19th December 2018, at the NIT Calicut, under the directives of National Commission for Women.
She has attended as member of final round evaluation panel of SRISHTI 2019, SRISHTI 2023 and SRISHTI 2024, The National level project exhibition and competition, held at Saintgits ollege of Engineering, Kottayam.
As HOD, I wish to take this opportunity to assure you that I will try my best to maximize student participation in the department and will keep the administration transparent.
