Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Established in 2021, the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Mangalam College of Engineering offers four year undergraduate programme leads to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Chemical Engineering. In addition to regular B.Tech programme, this department is also actively involved in conducting faculty development programmes, job-oriented short-term training programmes and continuing education programmes for students and faculties.
Chemical Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the application of physical science with mathematics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. The course offered covers mass, heat and momentum transfer operations, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, simulation and process control, environmental engineering, energy engineering, etc.
A trained engineering professional should have adequate theoretical and practical knowledge to cope up with the fast growing advancements in technology. Hence the objective of the department is to impart quality education and initiate research oriented activities. The department aims to inculcate innovative skills and boost the confidence levels of students for making them prepared to face challenges of tomorrow.
It is well equipped with highly commendable facilities and is effectively headed by Dr. Anju Sunny and guided by a team of highly experienced, dedicated and diligent faculty members.
