Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Many mechanical engineering companies have begun to incorporate various automated technologies and have changed the whole perception about Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is often rated as strongly male dominated field. But with the introduction of the above mentioned new fields in mechanical engineering bring more and more females attracted to take this course. Diversity, whether gender, ethnicity, or geography, brings more creativity and innovation to a team. When there is gender diversity on a team rather than a single gender, most likely one can see a tremendous improvement in the outcomes. Hope to see a drastic increase of female intake in mechanical engineering branch shortly.

Objective of the Department

  • To impart high quality Technical Education and carry out leading edge research in the discipline of MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.
